Dr. Haldun Karahanlı

Haldun Karahanlı received his PhD degree in political science and civilization studies from Ibn Haldun University in Istanbul in 2022. His main areas of research and teaching include world history, political theory, revolutions, civilization studies, civil-military relations, and Islamic movements. He published his two books Theorizing the Nation State and Conceptualizing Civilization in 2023. He has another book under publication: Fangs of the Leviathan: Civil-Military Relations in Egypt. He has 7 peer-reviewed book chapters and journal articles in addition to 19 conference papers.
